Your library

When you sign in with ChatGPT, your identifier lets you retrieve your saved videos, followed topics and teachers. These choices are private. In “My library”, “Delete my library” erases this data; it does not delete your ChatGPT account.

Your video feedback

The 👍 and 👎 buttons send your feedback to the administrator. No counts are shown publicly. A random identifier stored in a cookie for one year from your latest vote maintains one choice per video per browser. Votes are not linked to your ChatGPT account or email. The administrator sees totals per video, without a list of voters.

You can change your vote or click the same button again to remove it. Votes are retained until you remove them or the video is deleted. Deleting the cookie does not remove earlier votes: remove them first if you wish. To limit abuse, a temporary IP address hash changes daily; old hashes are deleted when the next vote is received. The raw IP address is not stored.

Your publication subscriptions

Your email, optional first name, publication preferences and confirmation are stored in a private list administered by Zalman Samama. Email confirmation is required before activation. People on the existing Shabbat at the Table list retain only that subscription; they are not automatically subscribed to Daily Dose.

Each email includes a personal unsubscribe link. You may also reply STOP. Emails are sent from Zalman’s Gmail account. The list is never displayed publicly. Do not share your personal links.

Unconfirmed requests are deleted after 30 days. Error logs are retained for up to 180 days; sent-message references prevent duplicate delivery. Unsubscribed addresses remain on a suppression list. To erase all your information, write to zalmysam@gmail.com.

Site statistics

We count page views and clicks to classes without cookies or linking them to the subscriber list. A hash derived from the IP address and browser changes daily and estimates daily visitors. Raw IP addresses are not retained in these statistics. Hashes and counts are deleted after 30 days. Email addresses, search terms and personal links are excluded. “Do Not Track” is respected. Email opens are not tracked with pixels. Video selections, including those in the embedded player, contribute to the 30-day ranking: these are clicks, not a measure of viewing time.

Report a video

The reason and your comment are stored in a private case. The review process checks sources before dismissing a report or hiding a video from the catalogue. Uncertain cases are referred to the administrator. Comments are not public; do not include personal information. An IP address hash that changes daily limits abuse without storing the raw address. It is deleted after 30 days during maintenance. Comments on closed cases are deleted after 90 days; editorial findings and evidence are retained for follow-up.

Your suggestions

The proposed name or link and your comment are reviewed by the administrator and their research assistant. Submit public information only, without personal contact details or confidential information. Uncertain cases remain private.

The receipt issued for a new suggestion contains a personal deletion code. Keep it safe. The code is stored as a hash, not in plain text. Suggesting an item already in the system does not reveal its author’s code.

Protection and retention

To limit abuse, an identifier derived from the IP address changes daily. The application does not store the raw IP address. This identifier is deleted after 30 days during review maintenance. Comments on processed suggestions are deleted after 90 days; public references and editorial evidence are retained for follow-up.

YouTube and Chabad.org players load only when you choose to play a video. YouTube uses youtube-nocookie.com; each publisher’s rules apply to playback. If a publisher blocks embedding, the link to its page remains available. Podcasts open on their publisher’s website. ChatGPT and the hosting provider supply authentication and infrastructure under their respective policies.

Delete a suggestion

Copy the two values from your receipt. This deletes the suggestion, its comment and its decision record. An editorial listing created independently from public sources may remain in the directory.

Need to correct a public listing?

Use “Suggest a class” and include the listing’s link and the requested correction. The administrator can correct information and remove content. Do not attach identity documents.
